While this may possibly sound like something from an action movie, Australian authorities say the drama unfolded in real daily life above the weekend.
On Saturday early morning, a cargo ship headed for the harbor town of Newcastle, New South Wales, arrived across a yacht that had encountered challenges in the h2o off the coastline of Yamba, in accordance to Australian Border Drive. The crew hooked up a tow line to deliver the yacht with them to Newcastle, and took the yacht’s skipper — a 31-yr-aged male — on board.
But as the ship approached its location later on that evening, it was found that the tow line carrying the yacht experienced been snapped, and the yacht — and the man — were being lacking.
Authorities searched the location for the missing gentleman, but could not find him, the border drive explained.
On Monday — two days right after the man’s disappearance — officials from the NSW Police and Australian Border Power (ABF) officers searched the cargo ship with puppies and found the man concealed in an air-conditioning device.
Officers, who identified the gentleman was in breach of his bail more than an alleged sexual assault, believe that he intentionally reduce the yacht free, and had prepared to stow away on the ship until finally it still left Australia for Malaysia.
